Myriam Vander Stichele most recently worked at the Centre for Research on Multinational Corporations (SOMO) where she was employed as a Senior Researcher for 26 years.
She has extensive experience researching, publishing and advocating at EU, international and national level on the laws and supervision of private finance. Topics covered included taxonomy, asset management and investment industry, food price derivatives, private holders of bonds from the Global South, and the savings and investments union (SIU).
She is currently volunteering as an Associate of Transnational Institute (TNI) and participates in various NGO networks to provide expertise. She is also a member of the ESMA Commodity Derivatives Working Group. Her focus has always been on ensuring the public interest is kept at the heart of decision making.
